Come ogni anno, alla vigilia degli Oscar, si è tenuta la cerimonia di premiazione dei Razzie Awards 2016, i riconoscimenti assegnati da The Golden Raspberry Award Foundation alle produzioni meno riuscite dell’anno appena concluso.

A dividersi lo scettro di peggior film della 36ª edizione un grande successo mondiale e un flop clamoroso: Cinquanta Sfumature di Grigio e Fantastic 4 – I Fantastici 4, pellicole che hanno ottenuto il maggior numero di Razzies. Il fenomeno mondiale che ha fatto discutere e a diviso il pubblico ha ricevuto 5 Golden Raspberry, nello specifico per le peggiori interpretazioni di Jamie Dornan e Dakota Johnson, peggior combo attoriale sullo schermo e peggiore sceneggiatura a Kelly Marcel. Il cinecomic targato 20th Century Fox ha conquistato il premio per il peggior/rip-off/sequel e il peggior regista a Josh Trank.

Il Razzie Redemption Award, attribuito all’attore che dopo diverse interpretazioni deludenti ha mostrato un margine di miglioramento, è andato a Sylvester Stallone per la sua prova in Creed che lo vede inoltre favorito per la vittoria dell’Oscar. Dalla statuetta d’oro al Razzie AwardsEddie Redmayne è stato votato come peggiore attore protagonista per la sua performance in Jupiter Ascending di Lana e Andy Wachowski.
