Critics’ Choice Awards 2016: trionfano Mad Max Fury Road e Spotlight

Metabolizzate le nomination agli Oscar e le celebrazioni dei Golden Globe 2016, proseguono negli Stati Uniti le assegnazioni dei premi annuali relativi all’industria cinematografica. La Broadcast Film Critics Association ha infatti proclamato presso il Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar, i vincitori della 21esima edizione degli Annual Critics Choice Awards, presentata da T. J. Miller.

A dominare la cerimonia sono stati Il Caso Spotlight e Mad Max: Fury Road, pellicole che hanno ottenuto i riconoscimenti più significativi. L’opera d’inchiesta diretta da Thomas McCarthy ha conquistato il premio per il miglior film, il miglior cast corale e la miglior sceneggiatura, mentre il blockbuster di George Miller ha ricevuto il maggior numero di premi, tra cui quello per la miglior regia, il miglior montaggio, i migliori effetti speciali, i migliori costumi e i premi per le migliori performance in un film d’azione a Tom Hardy e Charlize Theron.

A bissare il successo del Golden Globe, Leonardo DiCaprio e Sylvester Stallone sono stati insigniti del premio per il migliore attore maschile protagonista e non, rispettivamente per le interpretazioni in Revenant-Redivivo e Creed. Per quanto riguarda il versante femminile, la giovane Brie Larson sbaraglia la concorrenza si porta a casa il Critics Choice Award come migliore attrice protagonista in Room di Lenny Abrahamson; stesso premio ma come migliore attrice non protagonista è andato ad Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl).

Il capolavoro Disney-Pixar firmato da Pete Docter Inside Out ha trionfato nella sua categoria come miglior film d’animazione del 2015. Soddisfazione anche per Son of Saul dell’ungherese filmmaker László Nemes che si assicura il premio per il miglior film straniero.
